Malta
Today we found ourselves on the tiny island south of Sicily called Malta. At just 124 square miles it’s easy to take it all in. What a beautiful and historical place. We took a tour of the famous Blue Grotto to start the day. We were able to stop at the top of the cliff to look down on it before heading down to take a little boat through it. While it was quick, it was a very cool place to experience. From there our tour to us to the fishing town of Marasaxloxx – say that 5 times fast. Don’t bother going here. While it was historic, it was a terrible stop for a tour. It was a series of flee marketesque booths, a bunch of bland restaurants and not much else. I did like the shots I got of the colorful boats in the harbor though. We returned to the ship early in the day and relaxed with friends and shared stories of the day, the trip so far and life. It was great.
Back On Board
This was our final stop of the 12-day Royal Caribbean Mediterranean cruise. Tomorrow we are at sea before arriving back in Barcelona.
