Welcome to the trip that started it all. This was truly an epic trip – 26-days traveling from Sydney to Honolulu. We flew from California to Sydney and enjoyed a couple of days in this amazing city. We then boarded Royal Caribbean’s Radiance of the Seas for a 19-day repositioning cruise. The cruise took use to 2 stops in New Zealand, then north to Tahiti, Moorea – where we renewed our wedding vows – then on to Bora Bora and finished in Honolulu Hawaii.

Along the way we met some amazing people and saw some epic places in this world. Check out the journey below. Please comment on the posts. We’d love to hear from you.

Day 1 - Getting There

After a 5 hour delay that had us departing at 2 am from LAX, we were on our way on day 1 of our 26-day epic adventure. At the time this was the second longest flight in the world travelling nearly 8,000 miles and 17 hours in the air from Northern California to Sydney Australia. We flew on Quantas’ A380 in Premium Economy.  This class is located on the upper deck in its own section behind Business Class. The seats are a little larger than economy and the service and meal selection is better also. As a 6’2″ flyer, I’ll take all the extra seat room I can get. For a long flight, if Business Class isn’t in your budget, this is the way to go. The entertainment options are great – our son was in heaven playing games the whole time. If you need a snack break, head over to the snack bar and grab what you like – soda, candy, sandwiches and more.
